【IT商業新聞網】據國外媒體報道，本周初，微軟對外更新了DirectX產品的路線圖，當然，微軟公司對于Windows 7輪廓的圖形技術演變情況，還是抱著半透明的態度。據了解，通過此次更新，微軟推出Direct2D、DirectWrite以及DXGI1.1的新的技術預覽以及一個Windows 7/Direct3D 11新的TP發布。目前，這些組件可以作為3月份的DirectX軟件開發工具包的組成部分，被用戶下載使用。而2008年11月，微軟首次在SDK中向用戶交付Windows 7 DirectX 11。
顯然，微軟的此次更新是針對專業開發人員發布的，開發人員將能夠利用Direct3D 11結合DirectX運行時和DirectX兼容解決方案的額外的軟件，去促進最新版本的SDK的改變。2009年3月的DirectX更新中，微軟已經通過軟件開發工具包更新了工具和實用程序、代碼樣本、文檔以及32位和64位運行調試文件。
微軟公司表示：“這個版本的Windows 7/Direct3D 11技術預覽，將會被作為DirectX SDK的一部分遞交給用戶，其中包括以下新的功能、工具和文檔： Direct2D的技術預覽、DirectWrite的技術預覽、DXGI 1.1的技術預覽。”
據微軟稱：“Direct2D是一種硬件加速器，立即模式的二維圖形API，它可以提供高性能和高品質的渲染二維幾何、位圖和文字。該Direct2D API的設計目的實現與Direct3D和GDI的良好互通；DirectWrite提供支持高品質的文本渲染、決議、獨立的字體輪廓以及充分的 Unicode文字和布局的支持等等； DXGI 1.1是以DXGI 1.0為基礎建立的，將提供對Windows Vista和Windows 7的支持。”
DirectX最終用戶運行主要支持以下語言：中文（簡體）、中文（繁體）、捷克語、荷蘭語、法語、德語、意大利語、日語、韓語、波蘭語、葡萄牙語（巴西）、俄語、瑞典語和英語。

This DirectX11 release contains the following new Direct features and tools:
Direct2D is a hardware-accelerated(硬件加速), immediate-mode(實時模型), 2-D graphics API that provides high performance and high quality rendering for 2-D geometry, bitmaps, and text. The Direct2D API is designed to interoperate well with Direct3D and GDI. This technical preview allows developers to evaluate the API and write simple applications, with some of the more advanced functionality possible on properly configured machines.技術預覽DirectWrite
